Explore a $0-bill scenario

How quickly could your current bill cover the battery cost?

Choose the battery you’re considering and enter your average quarterly electricity bill. This simple illustration assumes your selected size suits your daily use, you have enough solar, and the whole electricity bill falls to $0.

The price changes with your choice. The selected size is treated as sufficient daily storage for this scenario; we’ll check your real usage during the quote.

Your $0-bill scenario

Enter your quarterly bill to see the illustration.

Calculation: selected battery price ÷ (your quarterly bill × 4), rounded up to a whole month. This is a best-case bill-offset illustration, not a forecast or savings guarantee. Most solar batteries remain connected to the grid. A $0 bill needs sufficient solar and a suitable system; supply charges, seasonal grid purchases, finance costs, additional solar or off-grid equipment can change the result. Your written quote will check your home and full installed cost.

See the energy flow

One day. More value from your solar.

Tap each part of the day to see how a correctly designed system may work.

Use solar first. Store the spare.

Panels power your home while the sun is out. Surplus generation can charge the battery before excess is exported to the grid.

Backup during an outage requires the right battery, gateway or switchgear and correctly designed circuits. Ask which loads are covered and whether your solar continues charging during an outage.

The discount picture in 2026

We check the incentives before you decide.

The federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program supports eligible batteries paired with new or existing solar. The value is calculated when the system is installed and varies with usable capacity and certificate settings, so your written quote should show the discount actually applied.

First 14 kWh: full STC factorAbove 14–28 kWh: 60% factorAbove 28–50 kWh: 15% factor

New South Wales

Eligible federal discount, plus a separate NSW virtual power plant incentive may be available if you join a participating VPP and meet its conditions. The old NSW battery installation discount has ended.

Victoria

We check federal battery eligibility and any current local programs for your address. Ask for a quote that shows each incentive separately and does not double count a discount.

South Australia

We check the federal battery discount and current local eligibility for your address. Your proposal will show the actual installed price after applicable incentives.

Common questions

Make the decision with the details in front of you.

Can a battery work with my existing solar?

Often, yes. The right AC or DC coupling approach depends on the existing inverter, approval and wiring. We check that the proposed battery and inverter meet current eligibility rules.

Will my home still have power in a blackout?

Only if the installed system is designed and configured for backup. Confirm the essential circuits or whole-home scope, power output and whether solar can recharge the battery during an outage.

Can I receive the $4,880 Fox ESS price outside Sydney?

That is the Sydney customer contribution shown in the supplied pricing sheet for the 14 kWh class. We can quote serviced NSW, Victorian and South Australian addresses, but availability and installed scope depend on location and site conditions.

Can a NSW VPP incentive be combined with the federal discount?

It may be available for an eligible system and participating provider. VPP contracts vary in control, credits and conditions, so compare the terms before joining.

Does 0% interest mean there are no fees?

Not necessarily. Read the lender's written application and offer for fees, total repayments, approval criteria and the actual term before deciding.
