Heat pumps are the most efficient and economical water heaters
Our heat pump range uses smart, renewable technology to extract energy from the surrounding air of the unit, then utilises that thermal energy into generating hot water. This method of energy extraction means the heat pump doesn’t have to rely on conventional gas or direct sunlight to provide hot water for your home or business.
Normal electricity heating methods to heat water can never be greater than 100% efficient. However, a heat pump only uses electrical energy to run the compressor, not to heat the water. The heat energy actually comes from the atmosphere. This allows an efficiency of up to 350% or more.

How do heat pumps make hot water?
|1. Draws surrounding air:
|A fan draws in air, containing heat energy, across the evaporator.
|2. Turns air into gas:
|The evaporator turns the liquid refrigerant into a gas. The compressor pressurises the refrigerant into a hot gas.
|3. Heats water with gas:
|The hot gas inside the condenser coil heats the water inside the coil-wrapped tank.
|4. Produces hot water:
|The refrigerant reverts back to a liquid after heating the water and continues to the evaporator for the process to start again.
The process is the same as the one that powers your refrigerator, air conditioner or reverse cycle air conditioner (also known as a heat pump). When your reverse cycle air conditioner is working in winter, it is extracting the heat from the ambient air outside and pumping it into the house. That’s what a heat pump water heater does. It takes the heat from the ambient air and uses it to heat your hot water.

1. Your existing hot water system to confirm what type of system you currently have.
2. A close up image of the existing hot water system compliance plate/serial number.
3. The area around your hot water system – a two metre space is required.
4. Your electrical switchboard to ensure we can add a new circuit.
5. Clear access to your existing hot water system.
